The Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology is fully accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology.

The veterinary technology program at Bel-Rea is also recognized for training and student financial assistance by the Department of Rehabilitation and is approved for veteran's training by the Colorado State Approving Agency for Veteran's Education and Training. In addition, Bel-Rea Institute is approved by the Colorado Department of Higher Education and the U.S. Department of Higher Education, and is authorized to enroll non-immigrant alien students.
